I started a new book. It is called the Brotherband Chronicles. The first book is called the Outcast. It takes place in a fictional medieval time. It starts out with a crew going on a raid for supplies. One of the members, Mikkel, (Hal, the main character's father) dies defending their ship so they can get away. His friend Thorn, and the rest of the crew are able to get away though. And upon their return, a massive storm hits and takes Thorn's right hand. Now Thorn is reduced to a slobbering drunk many years later. Now Hal's mom gets him back on his feet to help Hal through his teenage years. Hal is about to go through Brotherband training. It is a series of tests to test endurance, fighting skills, and sailing skills.
