Hal designed and built a boat. It has a triangular sail designed to catch wind better than the normal triangular sail. Hal is considered an outcast. His mother is half foreign and half Skandian. She is frowned upon for being different. But both of them have a great personality and traits. Hal decided to test out his new boat. He brought it out to sea, and wanted to show it off at the port. So as he was bringing it in, he saw the Oberjarl's ship right in front of his ship's path, and in a few tense moments, managed to veer off to the left and safely stop it. He was congratulated by the Oberjarl, but next Brotherband training starts.
Tacking- a sailing maneuver that rides into the wind. Most sailor's avoid this.
